Expertly crafted magic: Christopher Moro entertaining guests with elegant sleight of hand.
As a professional magician based in Los Angeles, there is something profoundly special about performing in a room steeped in history. Recently, I had the honor of providing the entertainment for a Valentine’s Sweetheart Dinner at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Military History Museum in Simi Valley.
The event, organized by event planner Linda Bosley, was a beautiful tribute to the local veteran community. For me, it was a perfect opportunity to showcase how my unique blend of close-up magic and stage performance can elevate a community celebration.
Private Event Magic: Table-Side Wonders
Every guest gets a front-row seat to the impossible.
The evening began with tableside magic as guests arrived. I moved from group to group, giving each table their own private, close-up magic show. Performing for veterans—who have seen so much of the world—is always a privilege. Seeing the genuine surprise on their faces just inches away from the sleight-of-hand set a high-energy tone for the rest of the night.
Magic that brings people together through shared laughter and amazement.
Capturing the exact moment the impossible becomes reality.
The intimacy of close-up magic creates an unforgettable, personal experience.
Celebrating Connection
Following dinner, the focus turned to the couples. Between a moving slideshow and a hilarious round of the "Not-So-Newlywed Game," it was a pleasure to be part of an event that celebrated long-term connection. My role as the private event entertainer was to bridge the program segments with moments of wonder and laughter.
The Stage Magic Finale
Elevating the energy of the room with a high-impact stage performance.
To wrap up the festivities, I moved to the stage for a 20-minute show. After an evening of personal stories and games, the stage show brought the entire room together for a final, collective experience of the impossible.

Professional Recognition
It was an honor to receive such positive feedback from the museum leadership following the event. In a recent letter, the Curator of the VFW Military History Museum noted:
Official recognition from the VFW Museum of Military History regarding the performance.
We were able to sell more tickets for the event in large part due to your participation…We look forward to working with you again in the future.
— Nigel (Tony) Bouocher | Museum Curator | VFW Museum of Military History
Being recognized by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Military History Museum for the quality of the entertainment is a significant highlight for the season.
